New threat for Linux users

Experts from ESET have discovered a new threat for Linux users. It is malware, which gives hackers full control over the infected machine, allowing it to use it for DDoS attacks.

Due to its low popularity, until recently, Linux was a relatively secure platform. However, this is a thing of the past, because experts are increasingly detecting the various threats targeting this platform.

Experts from ESET have identified another threat of this kind. This is a new malware called Rakos that uses a backdoor and allows you to break the password by brute force, and then take control of computers and servers running on that platform.

Specialists believe that Rakos hackers are planning to take control of as many devices as possible to create a botnet that is then used for DDoS attacks and spamming.
